Black Friday

Olympics Torino 2006Call me all sorts of unpatriotic, but man am I not looking forward to the Olympics. They start cramping my style on Friday, and don’t stop until - wait for it -MARCH! As in “March Madness,” as in freakin’ spring college basketball. That’s way too long.

Why the bad attitude? Anyone out there really care about curling? Any hands up? Didn’t think so.

And what man (yes, even men of my ilk) wants to watch hours and hours of figure skating instead of say, Scrubs? Yes, Bode is “America’s Greatest Hope” and all, but a 30 second highlight reel is all I need to be fully satiated.

Want to show me ice cold sport on NBC for a month straight? CSI, here I come.

    TestMonkey,

Your Canadian ancestors are rolling over in their graves. Not appreciate curling!? Boy, you are in a heapload of trouble come the Judgement Day! They are going to stick that broom …

IMHO: To fully appreciate skating, you must watch the FOX spectacular “Skating with Celebrities.”

What do you do on Fridays, you rocking jungle monkey?! Some of us have illegal cable and watch SciFi. It’s FRACKIN’ AWESOME.

if that’s all I’m gunna be in trouble for on Judgement Day, I’m doing better than I thought. And it’s because of all that inappropriate broom sticking that I’m nervous of those curlers anyway.

Skating with Celebrities: you only watch in anticipation of a d-list celeb getting their brains splattered on ice. I mean, that’s a good enough reason, but still….
